Pink Opal is a type of Common Opal that is generally opaque and does not show the “fire” like that of Precious Opals. The color ranges from a bright baby girl pink to a pink-white, cream, or even lavender. 

The country of Peru is known to have the brightest and most impressive Pink Opal specimens, but it can also be found in other South American countries, USA, and even Australia. 

Over the course of time Pink Opal has adopted the nickname “Peppermint candy stone”, due to its close resemblances to that of candies.   

The common pink opal vibrates at a lower frequency and gentler intensity than the transparent Opals or Fiery opals.  This however, is not a bad thing but actually enhances it's calming and soothing effects on the emotional body.
It really is a great alternative for people who are overwhelmed by other stones or people who need to relax and relieve stress.

Pink opal is great for those that healing the emotions, especially those connected with subconsciously held pain.

Pink Opal helps to clear and calm the heart and to bring a sense of peace and tranquility to one's aura.  



This is a wonderful stone for children who have difficulty sleeping or who have nightmares.

Emotionally, this stone can help to you to discharge past trauma, tension and stress.
Pink Opal is often referred to as “The Stone of Resolution” as it works to heal our emotional wounds and deep hidden fears enabling us to resolve and let them go. It is really useful for those who have excessive fear, worry, or anxiousness.    

Pink Opal is a love stone with a deep connection to the Heart Chakra. It works to heal our emotions, allowing our hearts to open to love.  

It's very important to not expose your Opal to sunlight, as this stone has water within. This occurrence will cause your specimen to become very dry and brittle, and potentially break.
